Who We Are
Non-Mission Statement
CMS Web Solutions' place in the world is simple … we love to assist organizations by creating websites that actually make or save them money. Why? We're selfish. We have a need to be loved and if we're making or saving people money, we are loved.
Core Values
- Provide value, deliver results
- Use the best tools to make the job easier
- Embrace change
- Only promise what you can deliver
- Keep moving forward
- Treat clients, suppliers and co-workers with honesty and integrity
- Have fun, make money and don't hurt anyone along the way
Greener Websites
We're not quite tree huggers, more caressers. We decided we couldn't wait for the government to save us from ourselves, so we are Bullfrog Powered. Now, websites are built with electricity from wind or non-impact hydroelectric power. We buy carbon offset credits both for our vehicles and offsite servers. Even our software development partner runs green offices.
Professionals
We use professional graphic designers to create the visual design of our websites. Visual design is what they do best. Then, we use web developers to write nice clean code. That's what they do best. We've got over 20 years of marketing experience to help guide the process. We must be doing something right - we keep winning awards. For the last five years we've been awarded the Readers Choice Award from the Durham Business Times for Best Web Design Company in Durham.
Advisors to the Education System
We believe in giving back and contributing to our education system. Our senior web developer advises colleges on what to teach in web design while our resident marketing expert does the same for the marketing curriculum. We conduct seminars for companies teaching them what they need to know about having a successful on-line presence.
Community Involvement
Richard and Sandi Gauder, the principals and co-founders of CMS Web Solutions Inc., are actively involved in the community. Sandi currently serves as the Secretary for the Rotary Club of Port Perry, sits on the board of Station Gallery in Whitby and was formerly the President of the Volunteer Resource Centre Durham while Richard is the Past President of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce, a Director with the Scugog Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club of Port Perry. They give time and money to various organizations they believe in and bake a mean set of cookies for local charities.
